Making healthy choices

My services

Physical Therapy

I am a cash-based in-home physical therapy provider. My practice allows you to continue to receive physical therapy in your home even if you are not considered homebound or, if you have reached maximum functional potential by insurance standards, you wish to continue progressing or maintaining in the face of your diagnosis. I have 27+ years of experience working with individuals with neurological disorders, musculoskeletal deficits, joint replacements, cardiac disease, cancer, and chronic pain.

Parkinson Wellness Recovery

As I certified PWR! instructor, I design and implement personalized physical therapy programs for individuals with Parkinson disease using Dr. Becky Farley’s PWR! moves. PWR! moves help individuals mitigate the symptoms of Parkinson disease and rebuild functionality. The 4 PWR! moves are designed to each target a skill known to deteriorate in people with PD which often leads to loss of mobility and function. The PWR! moves can be practiced in multiple positions, made progressively more physically and cognitively challenging, and can be used differently to target each person’s unique symptoms individually.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a safe and effective manual therapy. I apply gentle, sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions of your body, to eliminate pain and restore motion. This slow and sustained touch allows the elastic and collagenous components of the tissue to release and lengthen, removing adhesions within the tissue. This can increase range of motion, dramatically reduce the pain that is caused by the fascial restriction, and facilitate the body’s own healing response. Some conditions helped by MFR include: back pain, joint pain, headaches, pelvic pain, neck pain, migraines, sports injuries, neurological conditions, fibromyalgia, TMJ, and scoliosis. Wellness and Specialized Fitness

Wellness is defined as the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal. I especially enjoy pursuing that goal with my senior clients! My one-on-one sessions incorporate creativity and joy, and focus on maintaining strength and flexibility, and on encouraging healthy eating habits and life-giving rhythms. Wellness is important both in and out of the presence of disease.

Specialized fitness can help prevent declines in function and mobility, falls, hospitalization, and can allow individuals to thrive in their home with their loved ones.

“I was initially unfamiliar with myofascial release. I’ve found the healing touch of MFR greatly beneficial, powerful, and subtle. I highly recommend Jenn’s responsive treatments.”

“I have been active and athletic all of my life, until recently.

A couple of falls and hospital stays had taken me down a few notches, and at 91, I didn’t know what was in store for me next.

Jenny has been wonderfully helpful in getting me back on track. She has the experience to know what improvements and recovery are possible, and the skills and positive, encouraging attitude to help me make it happen. My wife and I are very grateful to her for working with us.”

-Bruce H.

“Jenn worked as an in-home physical therapist for our family from December 2017 to March 2022. She provided excellent physical therapy for my mother-in-law, who had a complicated history of mobility issues. Jenny has a very calm demeanor, and an encouraging, positive attitude that really helped. She worked to set goals, and to raise my mother-in-law’s abilities to the next level, doing so with a kind but firm approach. She became part of our inner circle, as she provided advice and perspective to help us through many challenges. Jenn is very knowledgeable about resources for special needs, and she is professional, reliable, and accommodating.

I highly recommend her as a physical therapist! She was a blessing to our family.”
